Some Days...

Most of us have our good days and bad. If you haven't had a bad day, please let me know your secret. Even though we all have bad days there is always something to be thankful for in each and everyday. Whether that's food on the table or in the fridge, a roof over your family's head, a job, a car to drive, a clean home, the list is endless.

If I can be honest. Today has actually been a great day. My youngest was home with me, kept herself entertained during my meetings and I got a lot of work done. I even fit a workout in early this morning. My oldest went to school but Wednesday's are always a little chaotic because of early release so she get's out an hour early. However, if you know my girls and when they get together they try to challenge me. Especially when I still have to work after I pick my oldest up from the bus.

When Myla gets home I give her a snack and have her start on her homework. I keep Raelynn busy with puzzles or coloring but she wants to be involved when I'm working with Myla on homework in addition to finishing up my day at work.

Today, there was some arguing and disagreeing on where to sit or what toy to play with after they were done with homework and puzzles. But I managed to calm them down and talk to them about how much Raelynn loves you Myla and vice versa. The story behind Raelynn staying home or staying at my mom's will come in another post but we are working very close with her to ensure she gets the best care possible until we find a solution with some behavior issues she is currently having. She is in the stage of the "Terrible 3's". It's been a HUGE struggle and very stressful at times but I know we can all work together to improve her behavior.

I already have dinner planned that we all agreed upon and they are watching a movie now. As I sit here and write this, I think about the struggles I went through in 2022 and how much pain and depression. It was unbearable. I think about how much I've overcome these past two years.

On the hard days. I build up the strength and courage and still thank God for providing and blessing me with my 2 beautiful girls and everything we have. We only have what we do because of God and hard work. Literally putting in the work to be the best mother I can be is challenging but God's greatest gift. I wouldn't trade being a mother for anything in the world.

--There's more to come and everyone will soon understand. I hope this post inspires and helps someone to today. Take it one minute, one hour, one day at a time.
